1. Prefer sth TO sth: thích cái gì HƠN cái gì

- Do you prefer hot or cold weather? I prefer red wine to white.
- He prefers watching football to playing it.
Ving thì cũng được tính như NOUN nên ta cũng có 1 cấu trúc nữa: PREFER VING TO VING

2. Prefer sth : thích cái gì hơn

- Some people prefer a vegetarian diet, while others prefer a meat-based diet.
- You can detach the hood if you prefer the coat without it.
- We have tea and coffee, but perhaps you’d prefer a cold drink.
3. Prefer (not) to do sth: thích (không) làm việc gì

- I'd prefer not to discuss this issue.
- I'd prefer not to work but I don't have much choice.
- Most convalescents prefer to be cared for at home rather than in a hospital.
- Would you prefer to pay by cash, cheque, or credit card?

4. Prefer sb (not) to do sth: thích ai đó (không) làm gì
