IELTS TUTOR gợi ý bài tham khảo:

Today, I would like to tell you about an invaluable (vô giá - extremely valuable; beyond estimation) skill that I picked up outside of formal education—mastering the IELTS exam.

I must have been using English for more than five years before I finally decided to gear up (chuẩn bị kỹ càng - to prepare thoroughly for something) for the IELTS exam in July, as part of my plan to pursue higher education abroad. The idea of studying overseas had always been my dream, but it came with a major hurdle—achieving an IELTS band score of at least 6.5. I vividly remember how daunting (nản chí - intimidating or overwhelming) that goal felt at first.

To reach that target, I explored various learning methods, but I realized that the most straightforward (rõ ràng, dễ hiểu - simple and clear) path was to take IELTS lessons with an experienced online tutor. Week after week, I was immersed in (chìm đắm vào - deeply involved or absorbed in) a sea of practice tests, writing exercises, and speaking drills. It was an incredibly demanding (khó khăn, đòi hỏi nhiều - requiring a lot of effort, time, or attention) process that truly tested my patience and persistence.

The reason I considered learning IELTS important was that it was the gateway (cánh cửa - an entry or means of access) to achieving my dream of studying abroad. Without a satisfactory score, my ambitions would have been out of reach (ngoài tầm với - impossible to achieve). Time and time again (hết lần này đến lần khác - repeatedly), I attempted to crack the test, but I could only manage a band 5.0. I was absolutely crestfallen (buồn bã, thất vọng - deeply disappointed) and began to doubt my abilities.

Luckily, a dedicated teacher of mine offered me invaluable (vô giá - extremely useful and valuable) guidance and encouragement. She reminded me that persistence and hard work would eventually pay off, and that was the turning point for me. Her words gave me the impetus (động lực - something that encourages a particular activity or makes that activity more energetic or effective) I needed to keep going, even when the odds seemed stacked against me.

When I finally saw improvement in my scores, I was elated (vui sướng, hạnh phúc - extremely happy and excited). It felt as though I had overcome a monumental challenge, and that sense of accomplishment was second to none (không gì sánh được - the best of its kind).

IV. Part 3

2.1. What can children learn from their parents?
Trẻ em có thể học được điều gì từ bố mẹ chúng?

Undoubtedly, children can learn a wide range of fundamental principles (nguyên tắc cơ bản) and life skills (kỹ năng sống) from their parents, which significantly shape their character and future behavior. Firstly, parents often instill moral values (giá trị đạo đức) such as honesty, kindness, and respect through daily interactions and role modeling (làm gương). For example, when parents demonstrate integrity (sự chính trực) by keeping promises or showing compassion towards others, children are likely to mimic these behaviors. This kind of upbringing not only helps children develop a strong sense of right and wrong but also encourages them to act ethically in various situations. Additionally, parents are often the primary source for teaching practical skills (kỹ năng thực tế) like cooking, cleaning, and budgeting, which are essential for independent living. By involving children in household chores and financial planning, parents equip them with the self-sufficiency (sự tự lập) needed to handle real-world challenges. Consequently, children raised in this manner are generally more capable of navigating adulthood with confidence and competence.
